Over the last couple of months ive been waking up during the night with a strange gag-like feeling in my throat, which is starting to piss me off.

Anybody else ever get this?

Although i cant feel anything in my throat nor do i feel sick, the best way to explain it would be if youve ever went to bed / sleep with a full stomach and youve woken up feeling the food/drink has worked its way back up your throat and youve had to sit up otherwise you feel like youre about to spew.

Its strange because my eating times and diet has been the same for a few years now and i only ever got this on the odd occasion. Now its most nights.

The only thing i can think of it being down to is the new mattress, or aids.

Is it a sort of burning feeling? If so it's acid reflux just go to the docs and get some omerprazole.

You go to the gym and that don't you?

The acid reflux crossed my mind but i dont get the burning feeling or any weird tastes in my mouth. I did get that either last week or the week before for a couple of days though.

And yes i do go to the gym.

Ive got work holidays from tomorrow so i will be booking an appointment, just didnt want to arrange an appointment for nothing if anyone else had the same problem.

I would get it checked I left mine for about a year before I got it checked and he said I'm very lucky. My esophageal valve had started to wear away. (The flap that opens and closes when eating)
Try sleeping with your head higher than your stomach and see if that helps for now.
