I thought one of the other dept. managers summed it up nicely by stating 'you should be utterly ashamed of yourself, whole football stadiums can manage to fall silent, you're a disgrace'

How did it manage to get to the point of being flown though? Surely it must have been delivered, opened by someone, passed on to someone else, passed on again, passed to the people putting it up and then sent up the flagpole. Surely someone must have said something?

I screwed up the silence at work, was in the middle of a phone call and remoted onto someone's pc and just slipped my mind

Felt so guilty for the rest of the day :/
