Cheers
TBH I wasn't expecting a runner up prize anyway, I thought it was just the laptop being given away.

Do you prefer developing for iOS or Android?
Out of interest (yes I have a lot of interest) whats the split in downloads of your app between iOS and Android, percentage if you'd rather not give numbers?

The SDK I use (Corona) is cross-platform.
Although I prefer Android as a user, as a developer it's largely a waste of time. I only build for Android so my friends who don't have iPhones can play them.
Because there's not really a 'new apps' section, it's difficult to get your app noticed without a major ad campaign.
I'd say my downloads are 90% iOS, while revenues are 99.9% iOS - although I haven't implemented in-app purchases on Android and probably won't bother.

Have you seen Corona are hiking up the pro license to $599 from $349 a year at the end of the month, fella?

Interesting, what language do you write the apps in, Lua?

Yeah, Lua is the basis for it with the Corona API built on top - it's really nice to work with.

Should have a look at Moai, it's free and there's a bit of a performance advantage over Corona - documentation is a bit cack unfortunately.

Looked at Lua this afternoon and although C++ and Objective C are a bit of a mountain to climb, especially for a new programmer I can't help but feel like I'm 'cheating' or 'coping out' going with anything else.

I wish your website was better
How many times did it take to get your app approved with iTunes?
