The type you have for gas/elec, Im renting a house to a freind and it has these in he wants them changing before he moves in to pay monthly tariffs has anyone had them changed and not had to pay for them doing ? As iv just had them changed on another house and it cost me 100 per unit

i always thought it was free to convert to pay ones, but had to pay to revert them to normal

its a mate whos moving in so my work partner told him we would sort the elec and gas out on it for them, not the biggest bill in the world but thought if there was a company who would replace them for nothing then it would be a bonus

I had one changed in an old house
Just phoned up British Gas and they came and swapped it over
Didn't cost a thing
