Think my circulating pump is toast. With the HW and CH switched on, I have heat one side of the pump but not the other. I've got 230v at the pump terminals but no heat the other side. The pump is quite warm.

Yeah, I missed out a question mark at the end of the first sentence. It was almost bastardised English. I thought people might have spotted it and looked past it.

The thread was a write off from the start - making a statement, not a question, and then posting it in the wrong sub-forum.

Thanks for letting us know that your pump is fucked

Turn the power off unscrew cap, if any air comes out try it again if not get a flat head inside it and see if it's spinning freely or if it's seized

It was fucked mate, I changed it yesterday and all was good. Trouble is, for some reason I can't seem to add water to the accumulator, the pressure is lower than it should be, I open the valve and nothing happens. It was fine last time I did it.

Might need the rads bleeding.

There are normally also two stopcocks on the supply, make sure you're opening both of them.

Ham and pickle.

The rads are actually ok Ian, plus, if did manage to bleed any air out the rads, it would only exacerbate the problem of me not being able to fill the accumulator up. I've only ever opened one valve to top up the accumulator. I shall investigate further.

Egg and Cress.
