Guys,
Just won the following on ebay and going to look at it Saturday (under no obligations to purchase), is there anything i should look out for?

Only had one previous lady owner, and looks in decent condition from the pics.

Anybody owned one of these before? Experience? whats the MPG like?

Looks cheap enough. I have the 1.4 petrol version. Common things are drop links but they are cheap as chips, check footwells for wet as they are known to leak water both sides.

Don't know much about the engines but they are supposed to be pretty good on fuel. 45/50mpg

Yer they have some decent buys there, the best bit is even if you win the auction you are not oblige to buy, there happy for you to turn up take a look, drive etc and then say yay or nay.

Been watching them for a while and some right bargains go through there

Looks decent enough. imho a good measure of how the car has been treated are its alloys.

Yes it may have had boy racer 19's on there, but they look mint.

Poor idle from cold start is a common problem with these engines caused by faulty suction control valves. As Andy said wet footwells. Also knocking steering racks when going over bumps.

Edit: Dodgey gear linkages as well

Aye forgot about the gear linkages!!

Cheap cause all the pics are at a car auction place. Will have more than likely been a trade in, and will owe them about £500/£600 I'd say.
