Does anyone know if my gearbox is fucked? What keeps happening is sometimes it won’t go into reverse and also you can’t go from first into fourth without going into third first. You know how it is; there is shit loads of traffic and you have to just floor it in first to meet the oncoming traffic speeds. Do Peugeot 106s just have shit gearboxes or is mine just fucked?

more likely the linkage, or the clutch may be on the way out, possibly. my corsas the same, hard t get rev somtimes, cant get 1st unless im stopped, difficult t get from 5th t 3rd or 4th t 2nd........

there is no real need to go 1 to 4.... what do you think gears are four... do you have a full drivers license?

I have no problem when the car is being driven normally, apart from the odd time it takes a few pushes to get into third, i think that is me though. Dunno why i have probs getting it into reverse though. It has just passed it's MOT so could it be the clutch?

me 2 to 4 occasionally.. very rare though... 1 to 4 absolutely not, just looks and sounds silly

At 35 MPH it's prob better to just go into 4th and yes i do hold a full driving licence. Heheheheheheheh!!!
