Anyone else not really enjoying xmas? Its always such an effort and lately find it boring doing the same old thing for the last few years. No other family and friends live near my mums so its just her and her husband (hates everything about xmas and always miserable) and my sister. I dont really have much in common with them, obviously i love them but i dont really like their company for more than a couple of hours...

Im meant to be here till the 30th but wanna head off back to london tomorrow... e points for good suggestions on exit strategies?

bah humbug... hope your all having a good time though!

Don't be selfish will, I'm sure your mum is enjoying every minute of your visit and if she read this thread she would be heartbroken.

What's a small amount of time out of your time to see family when you are away from them for presumably the rest if the year.

As for her husband - ignore him.

I'm not saying you're a prick. I'm simply saying that I'm pretty sure you mum would have been looking forward for your visit.

I usually hate N ic bArnes and his awful auto correct but I'm siding with him on this one. Christmas has been class this year. Proper cliche but it's just involved decent food, decent booze and family. Loved it. Next year my little one will be here so can't wait for that either

Spent a lot of yesterday rebuilding the rear beam for my Clio and then playing GTA5.
Today I spent all morning removing the gearbox from a 172, And now I'm about to carry on working on cars.

Dunno what this Xmas thing is.

my worst christmas to date this one. split up with my girlfriend 4 weeks ago and kicked her out, I'm still suffering quite badly over it. we were meant to be going to see her large family for xmas and then back to ours with my parents coming over today. add that to my grandad dying a few months ago, so 1 down at the table, and my mum not talking to her brother so all of her side of the family being round there it ended up being me my mum my dad and aunty, my aunty got drunk and fell out with us so i just went to the pub and had an early night. thank fuck its over
