The Megane comes equipped with 'Bayonet' style wiper blades. A quick trip to Halfords revealed a hefty £30 for a pair of fronts
Is there another name for them other than Bayonet? There is a distinct lack of choice on ebay for replacements?
edit - or a different locking style that fit's a non-hook wiper arm?

I use bosch on my cars.
Find the cheap wipers to be like wiping the window with plastic.
I got 2 sets of fronts for the 308 for £20 off eBay.

They are flat (new style I call them) blades yea, not the old ones that have legs and all sorts coming off them.

I do prefer those, I have the old style ones on my Fabia ('06 plate) and they do my tits in. Flat blades being ordered soon!

Have a look on Amazon for Alca wiper blades. Pretty good and a front set should be less than £20 delivered.

Could be worse Danny, just the driver's side wiper for my old Laguna was twenty six quid on it's own

Wipers for Mrs Jambos Clio where hard to get hold of, Renault wanted £56 for them too, Halfords never sold them. Got some off eBay and they where worse than the old ones I removed.

Euro car parts I think. Annoyingly you need to buy the decent ones for the renaults with aero wipers.

On my twingo the only place I could find the right ones was Renault themselves, otherwise I've just used Halfords ones on trade.

I once stupidly paid a dealer for some window wipers for my old Ibiza, just shy of £50! Why the fuck did I think that was a reasonable price and agree to pay

Cheap stuff off ebay is a real mix of quality. I've had 3 cheap sets. First one screeched even on a soaking wet screen, second set started off fine then screeched after a months use. This third set have been a lot better, lasted at least 6 months although they're jumping on the screen even when it's wet now.
Next set I buy will be the expensive PIAA ones.

The noise becomes annoying after 450 miles of constant driving
