Right I've literally no idea about these kind of things so perhaps somebody can help me. I'm about to move in to a place with a shower above the bath (with a control unit thingie on the wall, not from the tap). I'm not sure what the current one is. We're looking to replace the whole shower system.
What is the difference between electric, power and mixer shower and which is best?

I prefer mixer but only if you've got decent water pressure and a combi boiler.

+1, although I can't stand leccy showers unless you have a really powerful one (11kwh?), but then they cost an arm and a leg to run

Better than a mixer fed by a shitty gravity fed tank
