Wondering if any cleaning buffs have any ideas for me... basically I'm looking to get my polarised wheel bolts on this week, but I've heard they're prone to rusting.
Is there's anything I can apply before getting them on to help protect them, and what I can do as part of a monthly clean to stop them from deteriorating? Anything from Halfords would be great as I can walk there on my lunch break from work.
Thanks!

Anodised or polarised? I've never heard of the latter

Here's the description from the manufacturers...
http://www.taperpro.co.uk/2012/polarised.htm
quote: Unique to TPi, these Polarised bolts are available in various lengths and even in lock bolts. In the Racing nuts, they are the ultimate in weight-saving alloy with trademark knurled top for hand tightening. Ultra strong and light, they feature a stainless collar which will not scratch the finish inside your bolt pockets. These are a stunning addition to any car. The same Racing nut features with stainless collar is also available in black finish for a more stealth look.

I'd assume they're aluminium but I'd expect it to say anodized if that was the case. The way they look, they just seem to be coated steel or stainless steel, a quick Google would suggest that site has plain made up 'polarised' to make it sound like anodized, because you can't anodize non galvanised steel. And something hat small won't be galvanised first I'd imagine. Weird one
