Is there any way I could find out where an old car is reg to im just wanting to see if I could offer to buy it back i currently know the car is sorn and the reg number.

You could post the make, model and reg in the off chance that someone knows about it.
If it's something decent then try specialist forums etc.

I think the DVLA will give you the owners details. But you have to have a good reason

Unfortunately not. You can pay the DVLA but as mentioned above you have to have a good reason. You can't just say I want to buy it back. Something like it was involved in a hit and run etc, but they'd probably want police reports for that sort of thing. Doubt they'd just take your word for it.

Ill just have to try and find it by facebook and things like that the last know location it was about half hour drive down the road from me and i seen it on Swapz ill start there.
