Surely given the other cars on your radar, it should be an s3 - not a wanky tdi

They don't seem to be in my price range? I'm undecided if I want to but a cheaper car and invest the rest - or to spend the lot on another car

Yeah the price and half decent mpg are pretty hard to ignore

I didn't expect that from you.

5 cylinder one I presume?

Absolutely loved mine. Felt a little heavy but was a lovely motor and that engine was fantastic.

I assumed Dr pepper was talking about the st170

The 225 is pretty terrible in regards to fuel economy. Mine used to average 16-18mpg.

I was under impression focus st was 35-40 mpg if drove maturely - 20-25 if driven like a loon?

Must be 40 mpg in CS miles.

No one would ever buy diesels of high power petrol turbos got 40mpg in real life.

Not sure really. Most i ever got out of it was 30mpg and that was motorway miles driving like a granny.

Thay was back when fuel was sub 90p a litre so wasn't too bad.
