i live in Kendal would honestly not bother with town, about 5 pubs and the nightclub have closed down in the last 18 months its pretty shit and if your looking for fanny its definitely not the spot!

lancaster is a 30min taxi ride away much much better loads of clubs, strip bar and cheap travel lodge in centre etc
