Is that not stuck down with rtv (black sticky stuff)? Still, shouldn't come apart of it's own accord

It looks like it blown all of the gunk/oil out, not RTV.

I crack the inlet manifold on my Transit a few years ago.

might be. All sorted now. 200 mile round trip and an hour to replace.
