I remember reading a thread a while ago about paint that you can peel off? I'm thinking of getting my wheels done black but want to be able to remove it with out having to get the wheels re painted?
Any one recommend were and roughly how much it is to get done?

Is it expensive? Many places do it? Want 4 18" alloys doing, company car so need to be able to remove it hence the Peelable part.

Can do it yourself quite easily. Just mask the tyres and backs of the alloys up.
Don't have to but it just means you don't need to go around peeling it all off.
My mate bought a spray gun and is planning on doing his focus st.

Can is about £12 IIRC, probably need 2 cans to do alloys. Very easy to do, as Ben said just mask up to make it easier. Need to get some for the missus' alloys actually.

Yeah that was my thinking just the fronts, like you say easier to peel off! Do you need a spray gun then don't come in cans? Don't no any were that local that does any thing like it.

Can use the aerosol cans but easier to buy a proper gun. Doesn't matter so much on alloys though.

I really wouldnt mod a company car - if i had too (depending on the wheels) i would have them wrapped

This is the only thing I'd be doing purely as it peels off, if they had to be painted 'properly' I wouldn't bother. This way it protects them from chips ect.
Just watched this looks pretty easy TBF especially as you haven't got to mask the tyre. I would take the wheel off my self but the actual application looks simple enough.

Surely stones will chip it then it will come off when you wash wheels . Seems a lot of hassle to change colour of a wheel on a car that's not your own

Change of plan TBF shan't be using this stuff as won't get the finish I'm after. Looked around the same model today with the optional alloys I've chosen and they look smart in the standard finish. They'll be staying that way now
