The misses has dropped her iPhone and smashed the screen. Asked around are local market and the going price for a replacement is £35. However, i have heard stories peoples phones have not worked correctly once the screen has been replaced.
Anyone had the screen replaced by Apple and at what cost?

If you plan on keeping the phone for any length of time, get Apple to do it,
I had a cheapo ebay replacement, 10x more fragile dropped out of pocket while sitting down and the screen cracked again. Pointless.

Visited the Apple shop today. They will not replace the screen but will replace the phone for £159.
Think i'm going to take a chance on the replacement screen at £35.

just dont drop it.
mine re-cracked after dropping on carpet, probably the fault of the guy fitting it though as he left a gap between frame and screen.
