Hello I'm looking at a projector set up to replace the tv for everyday use, only thing is I don't have a clue where to start and whats decent etc.
I don't want to spend a fortune though. I want 1080p, 100 inch fixed screen, ill need a decent sound set up etc. What do you suggest?
any links and advice would be appreciated

Budget?
What do you think is a "decent sound set up"?
Also, I'd suggest not going for a projector at all, but then I like a sharp image and dark blacks as well as being able to use the screen in daylight.
I know both Ash and Steve have projectors and are happy with them.

No budget really as ill be buying it all over the course of a few months. Sound set up I have no idea what to buy for the best experience but I dont just want a £70 sound bar from currys. Ill never really get the chance to use it during daytime either so lighting won't be an issue. The room where it will be will also be redecorated in a darker theme. At night the blackout blind and curtains won't let any light in what so ever, same goes for daytime acrually.

I have that and it's been excellent.
3d,1080p even the inbuilt speaker sounds half ok
You won't get much better for less

Yeah I watch a lot of films so mainly used for that. I'll be going for a 16:9 100 inch static screen. Will get it mounted on the wall. Any suggestions on where to buy screens apart from amazon/ebay? Going to start the decorating in here this weekend so will get a thread up in house day.

If your going to be using this for every day use, if your room gets any direct sunlight you want to be getting blackout blinds.

Well, you need an AVR, five speakers (possibly seven, if you want 7.1) and a subwoofer.
What to go for depends on your budget and expectations.
I'd say decide on speakers first, then find an AVR that suits them.
Again, without a budget I could pretty much point at every bit of kit ever made.
