Yesterday whilst driving the abs and what looked to be the traction control light kept coming on and going off again, then when I got home and went to go out again it would start like it had a flat battery.

Jumped it and all was fine but won't restart again, I assume it's the starter motor or alternator?

Alternator probably. Easy to check with a cheap multi meter.

Also check for any loose connections.
