BikeSure, sister company of Adrian Flux I think? They're a bunch of awkward bastards.

Took a policy out on a new toy 2 days ago. Policy only costs me a little over £100 TPFT
Anyway, a tiny bit of information needed to be amended. So they go ahead and do it. After being put on hold, they told me the underwriters will only do it Third party, not TPFT? If I wanted it that, then they would have to charge me an extra £30.
I told them to cancel it because it wasn't worth the extra £30... This would cost me £40 I towards underwriters, then £25 for the broker they would give me back just a little over £35

Had the same thing with bikesure. It's the same when you're insuring your car with flux. Will never use them again.

Exercise your right to cancel then and go elsewhere. You have 14 days to do it.

From their site:

If you cancel within 14 days of receiving the policy information you will only be charged our £30 policy issue fee and the Insurance Company's minimum charge for the time you have had on cover. These charges vary depending on the Insurer. Call our customer service line for more information.

Yes, I read the that from the policy.

The rant is because if I did have to cancel, I'd essentially lose 70% of the premium that I paid, for 2 days worth of riding. Ridiculous.

Its your own fault - should've took the correct policy in the first place

It's not just about taking the correct policy. Flux are in no way the company to go for if you ever plan on changing car mid policy, etc. If they won't cover it, they basically shaft you out of whatever money is left.

Bikesure are a bunch of wankers.
I had to send a copy of my licence,
Then I was getting threatening emails because I hadn't sent them a copy of my cbt. ... I have a full licence so my cbt has been superceded...
So that got sorted eventually, then out of the blue I get a letter saying they can't insure me as my licence is registered to a different address to my policy, even though at the time I was in the process of moving,
Even though my new one had the right address on they didn't care and charged me even more to cancel it.

I pay more to go with a different company every time now.

I'm pretty happy with Admiral. One fault and one non fault claim last year. Premium actually came down
