Ok so I am all most at the stage of my build were I am going too need a monitor, and I have come down too these two choices

1440p : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-070-AS&groupid=17&catid=948

1080p: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-022-AO&groupid=17&catid=948

There is a big price difference, almost £400 which would get me another graphics card, but is it worth gaming at 1440?

I have seen some reviews and poeople are saying it's the way forward. But I'd like too know if any body here,
Can hounestly tell me that it's worth the price difference. Cheers Sam

Go for the cheaper monitor and get another GPU to crossfire.

Smoother gameplay on a 1080p monitor is better than less performance on a 1440p

Cheers pal, I was thinking the same as it takes a lot too run a
Game on high at 1440. Just was unsure about how much the difference in graphics actually is

I think you'll be happy with 1080p.

Have a look at this monitor, though:

Actually this looks like a pretty good deal:

Local review site seems to think it's great.

Want some thing that's doing too last and I'll be using it a lot for CS:GO and apparently there's a big difference in playing at 144HZ.

I originally looked at 4K monitors but there apparently not very good for gaming.

Response time and refresh rate will be biggest concerns with using a TV.

Not as big issues as they used to be, though.

That's still like £100 than a standard monitor though.

That's not the same price as the 24" though.

Still, I'd go with the 27" personally. Bigger is better.
