old 986 Boxter was based very roughly on the 996 (911) chassis (pretty much the same as used by the 997 too), the front end was identical but the rear unique to the Boxter, hence why you see so many with 997 front ends... The modern Boxster/Cayman chassis is unique to the model range.

Is it me or does the front end have a slight Ferrari-esque touch to it?
Massive improvement over the previous generation though and it looks pretty damn good

When she went to the gym, some guy came in taking the piss saying he'd "just bumped the Ferrari outside". Mum just stood there silent, he continued, then eventually said "are you not gonna bite?" and she said "no because I've got a Porsche"

Personally I don't think it looks very 'Ferrari' but the new Boxster S with PDK sounds like an old 360 with the new super-quick change sequential box and they must have done something with the exhaust system as they no longer sound like a beetle on steroids
