Bought myself a vauxhall signum a couple of weeks ago,
Today I think the slave cylinder has shit it's self (leaking)
Got a reciept from 3 months ago and less than 3k ago of a new 3 piece clutch and slave being fitted by the previous owner,
Reckon I've got any chance of getting it sorted?
Not overall fussed as if not ill buy myself a kit and do it this weekend.
Got to be worth a try?

Previous owner being private?
Don't fancy your chances unless its a trade bit of work tbh.

Yeah was owner was private,
Usually garages give you a certain time or mileage warrenty on work like clutches etc, but assumed usually it's only with the person who had the work done,
Just abit of a shitter lol

Is it not a case of unless they know the person in particular, you could just go in and act like you'd had the work done holding your receipt?

You said it was fitted by the previous owner?
You mean he did the work, or he gave the job to a garage to do?
If it was done in a garage, go there and ask them, perhaps neglect to mention the change of ownership, see if you can avoid it coming up in the conversation.

Sorry I meant it as in he'd got it fitted by a garage,
I'm going to give them a ring and see, only issue is the garage is 90 mile away and the folder of receipts is full of paper work from this garage all mot's services everything so I don't think duping them into thinking it was me they fitted it for would work.
I'll give it a try though lol
