We're finally getting to the point of painting the exterior of our house ie all the windows and doors are now changed.
BUT I don't want to go generic like anyone else yet I'm worried about the house 'Sticking Out' in the street 
Is there a way of using photoshop or software to test different colours?

Btw I would go for a safe colour such as white/eggshell.
There was a house in another town round here that was pink with yellow spots, just like Mr blobby. Council made them change it iirc.

I'd go for a normal colour also.
I appreciate people can do what they want with their house but odd colours normally look horrible when you drive down the road.

I'm thinking more kind of contemporary colours like greys etc but decided on Gardeninia and Conker 
Never had photoshop before can you do things like this on a free version?

I think you can. I photoshopped some alloys on my car using the free version, and also changed the colour.
You can buy cd copies on ebay which are great.

or you could just send a picture of the house to someone with photoshop and ask them to do it or ask in snap day im sure someone will do it in their if not.
ps... I have photoshop.

have a look at the Farrow and Ball range of exterior eggshell's. They're water base, so quick drying, look good. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
make sure you use the correct undercoat and then two top coats.

Just got more rendering done and stabilised all the brick work etc so just waiting to paint now
Went for Dulux Weather Shield in the end, Gardenia for the main rendering and Sandstone for the brickwork etc. Will put some pics up when it's all done

OJC Can see bricks painted in your first pic. Painting bricks is just odd to me. What colour in final pic?

It's the issue customer had, some imbecile decided to paint the bricks so unless he wanted to pay us ridiculous labour charge to strip them he had to have them repainted.
I can't remember colour, took 3 goes to get one customer was happy with.
