Got a new plug/charger set up with the right output now, initially thought it had solved it as I was using my phone and the battery was holding up really well, then it just took its sudden nosedive and yesterday switched off at about 70%. Previous to turning off the phone started running like a bag of spanners too and it got stuck on the reboot phase when I tried to turn it back on (constantly coming up with the Google logo, then off, then back to the logo).
Did a bit of googling and it seems I may have a swollen battery? This guy seems to have the exact same issues
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/battery-suddenly-drops-to-0-t2664426
Guess the next step will be to change that and hope it fixes it
Also theres a link to another thread on there, a guy saying that if you have your screen replaced [which i did] you need to swap the battery out too. Pain in the arse.
