Yeah you can take the wheels off when they lift it up with the grabber.
Did that with my puma then sold the alloys for 70 quid.

Yeah I did that too got £27 iirc.
For just the shell without any doors/bootlid, no interior and no engine I got £60. Must have only weighed half a ton?

Shell around £100 per ton although that will differ regionally.
Needs the wheels off, some places allow you to work under the grab, some don't.

Not bad at all. This was a couple of years back though. Made over a grand on splitting that little Puma up. Not bad really. Paid 2k for it as a stop gap whilst I bought my first house.
People who give the whole car to scrapmen are losing quite a lot of money.

Depends if you got somewhere to keep the bits though while you get rid.. I for example would break half the stuff getting it off but then it would be sitting out front on the drive way for some pikey to thieve anyway

yeah I guess so. Mine sat in my garage so wasn't too bad. Just meant I lost some space for a while.

See it quite a lot with people buying Pumas to get the engine out for their Fiestas, they overlook all the faffing that goes with it.
