So, back to car. Not many updates for few days (considering supposed to be fast turnaround) I've been away, and have other commitments.
Decided to machine polish it today, never attempted it before, and borrowed machine from AJ (thanks)
Here's what I used

I haven't for rid if all swirls yet, but I'd say a good 80% have gone. I've never seen such a swirled car in my life, definite fairy liquid and sand paper to wash.

Drivers door before

After

(Notice black marks on side strips, I'll probably remove these completely)
Rear quarter

Rear quarter before

After

I kind of broke the petrol cap (covered in sticky stuff, possibly had rip speed sticker on it)

Thanks Jambo, looks much fresher now. Polish dust everywhere though!

Chris, I agree those run strips have what previous owner did on them. Every part of car is scratcher owner has gone over it in black marketer pen :/
Arch arrived today, well one did

Took off door strips today, white paint under the rear one FFS

Can't stick back on, as paint cracked on it when removing.

Looks like car was re-sprayed in primer. Then door strips put on, ten sprayed in blue?
Drivers door is fine under te strip, but means going to have to fit new ones back on :@

Money I didn't want to spend

Took off the 1.4 badge earlier

Then I couldn't stop  paint under other badges was all dirty and black, decided clean was better

First time I've used sticker stuff remover, so much easier than usual methods

The lines in the blue paintwork above the white bit look just like filler to me!

Exactly what my corsa looked like, when I split it I hit it with a hammer and it was full of filler.

Pop the interior door card off and look...

It could be filler then maybe. Doesn't bother me, I'm selling on anyway, and strong enough fix for whoever has it. Has never been written off officially.

Put the silver c's wheels on it today. Only done two, as fired them then realised you could see manky orange hub and calipers ruining the look massively! I had paint and a brush, so tidied it. Arch gap ftw. Should settle a bit I hope haha

Not a system, it's just a backbox.

Could do, people seem to forget this is for profit though.

Had people telling me lowering springs and all sorts, aswell as facelift headlights...

Deffo filler in the quarter but as you say doesn't matter if it's being sold on, standard back box is a good shout too will appeal to more buyers if it doesn't look like a boy racer has had it

I'd of left wheels silver so it just looks like a nice clean standard car that hasn't been fucked with appeals to more people

Then sell them black ones to make extra £££ granny Mavis isn't gonna pay extra coz it's got black sxi wheels means nothing to her nice shiny silver wheels will get her soggy

Depends who ye gonna sell it on too but older people wanting a nice cheap runner will pay more than some lad buying his first whip

I see your point, but they're only standards wheels, plus I had them laying about after replacing on my other car.
