had so much chew on with this now, thought id rack the brains of corsasportians...
fitting -an6 fittings to a standard V6 fuel rail, the return is the rite thread and although its not male ended it still seals fine but the 'in' is originally a bigger size (smaller than -8an but bigger than -6an)
iv had a stainless -6an thread fitting mig'd on buy a very experienced welder, and it leaked, so took it back to him and tried again, still the same just a different place 
after putting a post on facebook, someones informed me of 'silver solder'. cant say iv heard of it before (unless he means regular solder which i doubt)
anyone any experience of this, or any other ideas to weld stainless fitting to a stainless rail
(one on the right of pic is leaking from underneath, again)

it is a good welder, and the man welding has 30+ year experience...
its not responding well to mig if you read

Is he migging it with just normal wire? Will never seal properly if he is stainless welding without the correct wire will never turn out good. I'd personally get it twigged,tho.

welds looked good first time but it had a tiny leak underneath (even though it was the top that was welded)
so he's covered all of the underneath and its just leaking in a different place

We use a bloke in work who does everything for us tanks rails cages bodys absoloutely anything cast stainless you name it never had a problem other than the odd pin hole in the weld which is easily sorted, none of his work looks like that lol that's awful I'd grind all that away and try again

does he do silver solder?
if not then he wont be able to do this.... iv had it mig'd 5 times!! then tig'd 3 times....
these are the most recent pics of a second fuel rail with two new thread fittings and even a new fecking torques fitting cos iv wore the old one out from removing and refitting that much....
it seems as though no matter how 'skilled' a welder is (wether it be an internet welder or not) it will not seal... the grade of stainless/brass in the rail wont respond to anything other than silver solder so iv heard....
if your 'bloke' is as good as you say he'd of known that too

Ps on don't like how the weld is between the bracket and the fitting,
has he welded the other side of the bracket too?
Where's it actually leaking from?
It should be a straight forward job if they are both stainless/steel, if it's some funky mix then just braze it instead of silver soldering it.

How would my bloke of "known that too" when I haven't shown him it? As if I would go to the time to show him some lad on a corsa forum having trouble welding some shitty fuel unions, if your welder guy was as "experienced" as you claimed in earlier posts he would of braized it himself not carry on with mig 5 times before realising it won't work, you put the post up askin for advice but won't accept it or any constructive criticism.
