Sorry should have explained...

If it is the wires under the seat (which I am guessing here) you would obviously need to fix the fault long term as the light will come back on obvs.

I merely meant that if you switch it off and it doesn't instantly reappear (as most seem not to do) the wire isn't broken merely a duff connection so a careful drive to the MOT station and don't touch the seat and it should stay off.

Took the clocks apart but can't seem to get to the bulb. I'm assuming it's an led after Steve mentioned it. Seems like the logical choice.

I've stuck some black tape over it for now, completely blanks out the light. Hopefully it'll go through the MOT with an advisory.

Just hooked up my dads OBDII code reader and it came up with P1338. Doesn't seem to be related to the airbags from what i can see online. Very odd.

Alot of cheaper code readers will only reap P codes which dont usually relate to airbags.
