As some of you know, I picked up the 1.6 sport towards the end of last year for the
princely sum of £350!!! she had tax until march, and it worked!

She did have some wear and tear, plus some half arsed "smoothing"

boot:

roof aerial hole:

So, with some cheap brake bits thrown on her, we knocked about through the winter, basically seeing if she'd survive!
So far so good, got me up into the peaks no bother for hiking/scrambling!

upon closer inspection, the only real rot ive found is the bodged smoothing!
she's ran faultless, been dependable and tbh, bloody good fun!

So, a trip to the VBOA spares day, and a trip to the autofactors, we got some shocks, brakes and wheels worthy of a 1.6 sport!

got a workmate who's a bit of a bodywork genius, hes gonna tidy up the blemishes, looks like she'll tidy up into a top little car!

Plans over the summer include getting her dropped a bit, a nice exhaust, a better drivers seat (got the usual bolster wear) and basically enjoy! loads of fun on the twisty backlanes!
