Been tasked with purchasing one for a company I do some work for.
What am I looking for? Anything to pay particular attention to? Will be looking around 2011/12 with low miles, 1.6 or 1.8 petrol as it'll be used for short town journeys!
Thanks

Same as Astra H I would guess so check the horn works when the lights are on (although prob. fixed by that age?) and transmission internet woes.

CIM is the horn thing. Done under recall though if not previously.
Rear door looms like to cock up too.
1.6 is woeful. We have the 1.8, it's ok but wish we went for the CDTi.

Wife has the 1.6, has what appears to be a common fault going by forums - juddering when pulling away but only when cold.
Rear doors not unlocking - wiring loom at the bottom of the door sometimes rubs through but is a simple fix
Coil packs are common as per most vauxhall engines, will usually come up codes for random misfire on a pedal test and eml light will be on
CIM unit fault, vauxhall should fix for free if it's an issue
Ours tends to use a bit of oil, also seems quite common online

Bought a 1.8 VVT in Design spec (half leather, leccy windows, trip computer) - checked everything in the back doors worked well

Damn.. Didn't see this post
I was going to say avoid the 1.8 and 2.2 at all costs.. Over-stroked Vauxhall engines are like Russian roulette with 6 bullets.

My old one came with a drip tray for my tears when I selected the MPG option.

The 1.6 isn't going to be a rocket ship but it's done us fine for around the town etc, manages pretty fine on the motorway too although it would be nice to have a six speed box so it's not doing 3500 rpm at 70.
I was impressed with how it managed a recent holiday and ski trip packed full and doing over 300 miles to a tank with a mix of motorway, A road and up some fairly steep and twisty mountain roads

I just found the 1.8 much more capable and we're likely to have 5/7 in it at all times. Tbh I'm not paying for the go juice so I don't give a toss about the MPG
