So i bought a used Mini Cooper S from Mini back in October.

Part of the deal was that they would re spray the wheels and touch them up as they were scuffed.

6 months down the line they have started corroding on the inner lip of a few spokes (
only the fronts)

I took it in the other day and the guy told me that the corrosion warranty on the wheels is only 3 years and that is past (2010 Mini) He would talk to his manager but he thinks it wouldn't be a warranty thing

My question is, because they repainted them, stripped them down etc, would this not be down to them not doing it correctly?

Surely the warranty will restart from the date they messed around with them?

Wouldn't have that! Powder coat or wet paint? My dad powder coated my crosser wheels 9 years ago hasn't been ridden for a couple of years but they still spot on.

I'd expect ten years out of any powder coat job. Tfr remover and alloy wheel cleaner used in car washes does eat it though!

Couldn't say for wet paint..

Might of just sprayed the faces and corrosion creeping in from the back of wheel

A dealer wouldn't do that surely! The idea of a dealership cutting corners is unheard of..

Is it an approved used car? If so it will have a 1 year warranty
