Anyone know how to do this? I've got elecard mpeg2 player which works sometimes, but i'd like to play in windows media player. Any ideas?

d/l videolan ,plays anything you have mate divx ,avi you name it it plays it

If the files are true VCD format they should be MPEGs so just open them up in WMP 
|

Elecard MPEG2 codec you have? If so it should work in Win Media Player.

thats what I thought, but no such luck. Plays okay on a dvd player, but elecard is the only one that can play it and that only works half the time

goto kazaa and d/l a bit of kit called.
NIMOCODEC PACK
it will enable you to play every damn music/movie file known to man.
i can play svcds in meadia player and .mov that normally only work with real player will work in MP to mate.

when you go to play a vcd on windows media player you have to go to some folder on the disc and it will be a .dat file

svcds wont work on wmp
i use powerdvd to play them
videolan even plays .bin files
