having a second car on your insurance???
does your premium increase loads?? or what?
ill be looking into getting an astra gte 16v soon i think and would run it for a couple of months to get used to the engine. id be buying a car thats mots gonna run out and it would need a lot of work to pass.....
the engine would then come out and go in my corsa... or a nova, depending on funds.
would i be looking at a huge hike in premium?? my current policy runs out in october but liverpool victoria told me they wont quote and under 21s on a standard car with engine greater than 1600cc........
can always ask em again like see what they say.
and the legality of having the car on parents insurance for 2months with me as named driver??? im 19 yrs old 2yrs ncb, had full license for 2 years and have pass plus.
any information greatly appreaciated...
just chucking ideas around just now

i have run 2 cars for the past year and a bit now and was told by a few companies that you need to have a second car policy, limited milage etc.... I have my second car policy with HIC (hoddesdon branch) always seem to have good advice and reasonable premiums

Donnas running two cars. D5 and her new Corsa SXi. She kept the 5 years or so NCB on D5, and already had nearly a years NCB on her old corsa, which she had to loose to gain teh eyars free ins ont eh new corsa.
So to run two cars, you need two policys. So the Astra will be a 2nd policy, at 19 = Not cheap.

there is exceptions and certain deals tho, try asking around and see what they can do
OR
do like i do.......
corsa is f/c in my name
other cars are in mam or dads name
drive them on my policy as it covers me on them 3rd party only
or if u want, insure one of them on it and then its still covered if it gets knicked
