They are indeed. Amazing how many people get out of your way quicker when you're bombing down the outside lane and some shitcunt is sitting doing 50mph without a care in the world.

They make stupid people drive in the dark without their lights on though. Couple of times i have come up behind new cars with no lights on at the rear and dlr' s on at the front

DRLs look gash on almost every car I've seen with them. I especially like the aftermarket kits on 1999 Mondeos.
My missus' corsa (62 plate) has the sidelights on full time to cover it, I think that's an acceptable compromise.
Sidelights on the Subaru need to stay on all the time as the battery goes flat without them on

Day time running lights (a.k.a the bright while leds).

My 2010 Fabia has them, but in a very annoying place as people think that they are fog lights:

Nice one Nath. I've heard of daytime running lights. Volvos had em about forty years ago, but i've never heard anyone abbreviate it before.
That is a rather inconvenient spot for yours to be located.

Yeah i've seen that a lot recently. Should have their licenses taken away.
I like them on the fiesta as they're integrated into the headlight. Otherwise, they'd look shit.

Majority of DRL's actually switch off when you put side lights on, including on the DS3.
With the last shape Corsa, when you turn on the sidelights the DRL's just get dimmer as they are the sidelights.

Used to go through batteries like crazy. Talked to a mapper about it once and he mentioned that they have (not very) "smart alternator" which only applies charge when it sees heavy load or some shit like that.
Sure enough, drive it with side lights on and I never have aa problem again

DRLs should dim (if the same bulb is being used as a sidelight) or go off when the sidelights are switched on

What a daft thing to say I don't need to see them to like the look of them. That's like putting on a nasty looking set of alloys but not having the rights to hate them as you can't see them when in the car

But the alloys are seen even when the car is switched off
How often do you start your car up on the driveway/road/pavenent and just leave it there to look at?
Very weird thing to say you hate them

Anyone else noticed multiple LED DRL's in the headlight cluster wobble in the rear view mirror? Particularly Insignia ones?

Yep, dunno why people do that. It's an old corsa, not a fucking audi.
