mine was 920kg with full cage and sunroof on a 20xe corsa has since had loads taken out reckon it will come in around 870 when it goes back on the road so all being well it should make around 220 bhp / tonne

power is nothing without control. and the power to weight ratio is a good guide to how well the car goes but until you have driven a lightweight high revving smallblock you wont understand how much better they are than the other cheaper and easier options to get the power to weight ratio.

only time id swap my let for a small block would be if my car was like yours dave .. ie striped and more track orientated .. and me being me id still use a xe .. or if i was that anal about wieght i would try my hardest on a 2.2 ally engine

I got mine down to 903kg and 586bhp meant it was alright.
