I'm with you on the blood thing.
I got scratched by a smackhead once (long story) and had to be tested for aids for 9 months after 1 month of taking post exposure prophylaxis. For anyone that doesn't know what that is its a course of treatment consisting of three horse tranquizer sized pills once in morning once at night that try's to block the virus entering the body. And it is not a particularly pleasant course of treatment.
Ever since I have naturally assumed all blood that isn't my own contains the virus and have steered well clear, even my own blood can turn my stomach. Although occasionally I'm not too bothered by it.
But I digress, I don't have a fear of flying in an airplane just that if I crash my car there's a chance it could be a low speed crash and I'll be fine. If my plane falls out of the sky it's pretty certain I'm dead
