Going to look at one of these tomorrow... I know they're not quite in the same league as the Golf GTI I test drove the other day, but there's one round here that looks mint for a great price, so think it's worth checking out. I'm talking about the older shape of course; anyone got experience?
Also what's the best forum for these? There's so many Ford ones out there!

By not in the same league do you mean the ford isnt producing the same 'low emissions' ?? Anyways golf gtis are well over rated I've had one years ago and to be honest I think there's miles better cats out there. Interior is bland, basic and feels isolated. Would rather have a fiesta any day.

Fiestastoc.com is the only forum you will need to visit. Loads of info on there.
I haven't had one, but loads of mates did. Nice car, handles well, not massively powerful but enough to be satisfied by a B road blast.
Interior quality is a bit pants, but it's quite old now so to be expected really.

I did end up joining this one first... not much going on though! Seems pretty dead.
I know power's going to be down on my Clio 182 but there seem plenty of performance packages from Jamsport & Mountune etc.
