Gents,

Driving my 1.9 CDTI 150 earlier. Moved off in first year then changed to second gear with brisk acceleration and it loses all power and the engine light with a spanner in it illuminates. Car's now driving like its in limp mode and is throwing the above code out.

Any ideas how to get it out of limp mode and fix it? It's being part exchanged soon so don't want to spend much money on it.

Mrs Grande punto kept getting the accelerator pedal sensor code and going into limp. New shitty plastic pedal later ( £104 ) and two 10mm nuts undone its fixed

Well that escalated quickly...

Blown turbo. Seals have gone. Car is being part exchanged in 6 weeks at BMW so it's now going to sit on the drive until then. BMW said they'll only knock £500 off the part exchange valuation as it is with a blown turbo which is less than what it'll cost me to fix it. Possibly also needs a new heater control circuit between the O2 sensor and the ECU. If the circuit is fine possibly a new ECU.

Epic fail. It's been good to me for 7 years except for needing an alternator, manifold and EGR valve. Only major fault not to go wrong is the six speed gearbox shitting it's pants.

Roll on the arrival of the M135i in December. Bus to work until then.

Not too bad then if BMW will only take that off. It would cost more than a monkey to get all of those bits sorted!

I bet you will be counting down the days!!
