Dodgy!?

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510127746793?search-target=usedcars&price-from=2000&fuel-type=petrol&radius=80&page=11&sort=locasc&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&transmission=manual&postcode=ss12aq&zero-to-60=fast&price-to=3000&logcode=p

It's a Cat-D and has different bumpers all round... could have been a front and rear crash?

I don't think the wording matters too much as 2007 is when it was imported. AutoTrader might consider Type-R's 1.8's seeing as though the DC5's are import only.

If I got it, I'd have to source original bumpers (don't mind copies) there's not much on eBay... hard to come by and expensive? Wondering if it's all worth it at the end of the day. There's another Cat-D on Gumtree for £5k.

It says only 2 owners and FSH which is good, but shame about the up and coming MOT and lack of general information! There's no way to actually find out what happened with a Cat-D status is there?

Whatcha think?

If all is how it appears and that DC5 is pretty much ok, that's ridiculously cheap!

As above. Can't find the status of a cat d no. Although the seller will probably tell you it was just a wing/bumper. HPI it and see when it was cat d. Could have been written off due to been an import and not been able to source some parts easy enough.

I will run through a proper HPI if I go look at it, after I can figure out how to log into the website (I've paid for 3 checks, used 1 so have 2 left but have no idea how to access them!)

Baskey, how did you get all that MOT info? The last few times I've been on the .gov website in the last week or two it's said the service is currently unavailable.

Will be hard/expensive to source oem parts. Probably why it has a shit body kit. Worth a punt though if you dont mind how it looks as its worth that in parts alone

Think it's a scam

Phone number doesn't answer after 10 attempts throughout the day. Then I get a text saying to email the seller at some dodgy email address.

Oh well.

Definitely a scam. Bloke wants payment electronically so he can deliver the car to you. I suspect that's what you mean Kz!

I'm starting to think Civic and Integra Type-R's come out of the factory CAT D..

Talentless pricks with ADHD are attracted to them like flies to shit so inevitably they are all eventually smashed to bits.

Was going to say it must be a type-o, but that looks to be confirmed Still the cheapest on AT by a considerable distance, but there are far better places to find a DC5.
