Has anyone got one? I'm quite interested in the vax cordless air but want to know if they are alright before taking the plunge.

I need to change the Hoover regardless as my other halfs brother hoovered up his kids sick with it (yes, really) and its fucking honking now.

I'm waiting for the cost to come down on the cordless hoovers.

I took our Dyson apart and cleaned it in the bath as it started to get a bit stinky. Left it in the garage (heated) for a week to dry out.

A couple of mates have the Dyson v6 animal and say it's great for quick jobs. Expensive for what they are and they won't replace a proper corded vacuum cleaner, but they look alright and are handy if gou have kids.

We've got the Dyson, it's pretty good.. Very convenient however you do really need to run it in 'turbo' mode for it to be decent .

Got the one I linked above. Well the air cordless duo (with two batteries) was £135 on Amazon so I ordered that.

Brilliant little thing. Razzed round the house in hour half the time it takes normally.and it pulled half a carrier bag of fluff out of my new lounge carpets.

Weighs less than 5kg too so it's not a workout. Leaves brush lines in the carpet.

I suppose these will become the norm soon so if your thinking about a new Hoover it's great for the money!

Edit: aaaaaand vax give a 6 year warranty on it.

Got the v6 animal today seems to be keeping the Mrs happy. I thought our house was clean until you see what it's picking up. We had a dyson vertical one before but this seems better maybe it's just because the filters are clean

You can clean the filters on the Dyson uprights quite easily. I have one of the ball versions and it went a bit shit. Gave everything a clean and it works perfectly now.

I've got an older Dyson hand held one. It's ok but not great. Think I might change it to a v6 one.

The filter on mine is washable which is great but not sure about the new ones?

The V6 animal, what's the running noise like?

My little boy hates the noise are current Dyson makes. He screams the house down!

Seen all the adverts for this one, wondered if it was as good as it seems. Reviews over on Amazon look fantastic too... still a little pricey atm but I'm sure they'll start coming down soon.

Andrew, can't your maid just Hoover the house, whilst you and the family are on the private jet?

If you have enough old cars, they = same value as a super car. Or you can tell people you have a car collection in private garages you own.

That kind of thing means a lot to some people
