Tbf I still think it was an understandable reaction (if indeed he actually thought it wasn't Reeva behind the door)

There are like 16000 murders a year in SA. compared to 700 or so in the UK

I'd have been a bit trigger happy myself if I thought I was in danger.

This is the issue, people in the UK use our living standards to judge the actions of a man that lives in a country where most people have barbwire fences and rape/murder is a daily occurrence.
