Mate of mine worked there, said they had 9 drivers doing 40 drops a day when he started, by the time he left they were down to 3 doing 10 or so.
There was a General Tyre depot opened locally and were looking to take some of the business but looks to be a bigger problem.
I have to say I don't generally use ECP, the prices are up and down depending what day of the week it is. And every time you go in there its full of clueless dickheads buying the cheapest part that sounds roughly what they might need.

I’m one of those clueless dickheads
How strong the branch is depends on where it is and what the competition is like in the area, I’m in Northampton, which used to be a massive Central Auto Supplies town, after we opened, both CAS and MotorServ had less of the market share and over the years we’ve slowly taken their business to the point where MotorServ don’t even get a look in and CAS (now owned by Motor Parts Direct) are down from a stronghold to half the vans they used to have.
We don’t have enough vans or drivers for the demand at the moment and it’s the same in a lot of our branches.
The Sukhpal situation is odd, he’d already left the company when he sold it to LKQ but when Unipart went bust, he dragged a lot of the directors away from ECP and intended to set up a rival. LKQ got wind of it and bought him out of the new company, re-employed nearly all the senior management and gave him a job in a slightly different role. Him leaving again isn’t the big deal it’s being made out to be in my opinion.
Obviously I don’t know the full story from the top and there’s a fair amount of hoping involved because I have no qualifications and I’ve done this job since 2010, with ECP paying the best money, losing my job doesn’t leave me many options!

What branch do you work in Robin? I use st James mill and have to get in there at bang on 8am or near closing time to avoid the 15minute queue.

That’s my branch, the counter is always crazy busy, all day every day. Saturdays are the busiest, it’ll be full down both sides of the shop from 8am til 4pm and then people will be rattling the door at 4pm even though we’re shut.

They should have a separate queue for click and collect.

I wish. They're mostly African or Romanian taxi drivers paying full price for something they think is the right part but not sure so can you read out the list of everything on the screen and show me pictures
