I received a U2U from Andrew this weekend informing me that Jodi had passed away. Jodi was a very active member on here during the glory years and well known to many.
I don't have full details but Andrew has advised that they are on Jodi's Facebook page. Jodi unfriended me a couple of years ago whilst I was living in Thailand, so I don't have visibility of his Facebook.
I expect it was complications with his heart. I lost count of the amount of times he had major heart surgery but I believe it was at least 5.
I used to chat with Jodi well into the early hours particularly about science, philosophy and various random disturbing (but humouress) topics. Jodi was a real chameleon of a person, hyper intelligent and despite going through hell many times he was always very bright and philosophical.
I am sad that we stopped talking but will always hold good memories of our late night chats.
I hope that you are at peace now Jodi

He was always a character when I spoke to him too.

All over his Facebook page, like too much to screen grab as there's loads.
I think its fair to say he lived a remarkable life, a very active CS member back in the day and never a dull moment.
Sad that he's passed. I didn't know too much of his illness. Hopefully he can say he made his mark while he was with us.

Indeed a true character and someone I will never forget.
I only met him the once at the QE hospital after he had an operation, I was in the area for an interview at the time.
I assume it was his heart then? I lost count of the amount of open heart surgeries that he had. He had a lot of treatment in the states. He was born with a condition called tetralogy of fallot iirc.
He suffered so much but not once did he whinge about it. A true champ.

RIP used to chat to him a fair bit, had a good outlook on life IIRC
Also RIP to Andy Giddings/Fatrew/Rew off here (knew him more in “real” life vs. CS as he bought my Corsa off me. Really really lovely guy and an absolute tragedy. Died in his sleep AFIAK, so hopefully painless....

But Andrew has always been so transparent and truthful.. I wonder if he's managed to get a photo of that Transporter yet?
