the cam belt snapped, basicaly his engine is completly ruined and is gonna cost 3k to rebuild!
ive convinced him to now go for a rx7, and hes looking at one on friday, dunno what hes gonna do tho with the clio, whos gonna wanna pay for a fucked clio williams, or do u reckon he should get the engine rebuilt then sell it?

Not worth a rebuild if it will cost 3k, there only worth 5kish anyway so I reckon he could get couple grand maybe with a fucked engine long as the car itself is sound.

me and my dad brought a front end write off clio williams one, and turned it into a full on rally car, complete stripped out interior, one off fia approved full cage, fuel tank, buckets, 6 point harnesses etc,
my dads always done a bit of rallying, and it was an ideal car to use, and cause we had most parts at mates rates, we havnt spent too much - its all about been in the loop, ours had virtually no salvageable engine parts at all cause it ahd basically ripped the front end off

big eck - im not sure, i think abit of both, i told him on a car like that u wanna change the cam belt every 10k to be on the safe side, i think he said it had done 20k

he should advertise it on some rally parts websites, should get quite a bit of interest for the shell and other parts
