I seem to remember when I had my console apart that there were the holes for the switches already there behind the panel, course u'd have to cut holes in the black trim bit, unless there was a higher-spec corsa or n option of having heated seats in a corsa, in which case u could order the part from vaux. not too sure, but the wiring for the switches may already even be lurking about somewhere behind there if ure lucky...

Thought i recognised that interior!!

Yeah, u need to buy the replacement control facia from vaux - its £7 tho and mine to a week to order in.

The switches however, can be taken from any vaux from 92-2000, as the seat switches were the same on all models (cally, cav, astra etc). However, ensure u also get the connector block at the back of the switch from the same car, to save using loadsa spade connectors!

Oh and not all cars had the wiring under the carpet. Only after i had plumbed the whole lot in manually, i discovered that the plugs + wiring were under the carpet next to the handbrake. Mine was a 93 LS. Merit's would not have this.

Matt
