VTR's do feel slow... but they are slightly quicker than a 1.4 sport... it does not take a genius to work it out
90bhp - heavier car
90/98bhp - lighter car
plus they will wank on corsa's through the corners

I used to have a nova GSi with 108bhp, raced a VTR in that and lost it. Then i got the Corsa GSi and that was even better against them but theyre not he same catagory, GSi's should be compared to VTS's (both 16v) and i don't think i'd have even kept up with one of them!

VTR's are 8v, VTS's are 16v. VTR has same engine as 106 rallye (newer model) and theVTS has the same engine as the 106GTi. The VTS is the top model Saxo and the GSi is top for the Corsa B so you should compare them! Having them 8 more valves makes a lot of difference (in saxos case about one and a half secs).

The corsaB design is nearly five years older than the saxo's so it's not going to be as good a car. VTS's has to be respected but all said and done it's just a reshaped 106 GTi.

dont ask wots faster, simply look at the facts:
gsi 0-60: around 9.4 secs (x16xe) 106bhp
vtr 0-60: 9.5 secs 90/98/100bhp (phase1, phase 2 early, phase 2 late)
polo gti 0-60: around 8.8 secs 125bhp

ive got a vtr with exhaust, filter, and a 20xe corsa. the vtr is slow compared 2 mine but would beat a 1.4 and i would say about even with 1.6 , i got a 16.5 1/4, what is a 1.6/1.4
