right i've been banned from a ez board forum, now they ban on I.P i presume and it is a clever ban! it's getti me on dif dialups and after restart, now i need a form of i.p spoof or does anyone have a spare dialup not on freeserve like a payper minute that should change the i.p all help appreciated

Surly they'll ban the IP range for that ISP ?? They'll know your area as its the same number every time isnt it?

they rarely ban by IP, only by username, when you are given the 'ban' page, it stores a cookie saying the pc you are on is banned. Close your browser, clear your cookies (or just the ezboard one), and go try again, it has worked for me.

Regarding clever IP bans - they could ban by the entire subnet and take out everyone on your modem rack. I've done that in the past. It might also be that you're going through a proxy and thats whats made the list. Bit sledgehammerish to crack the nut but it'll have the desired effect.

I had completely disregarded banning using cookies as it seemed like a really daft thing to do, but it had you foiled for 20 minutes
