do i need to have some special tool to get them out? i've got a 1.4 16v and the spark plugs are a good 3-4inches down in the block.
also when i get them out is there any specific tightness i should put on them?

i normally use a deep 16mm socket and a extension bar and half inch rachet works ok for me,and when u put them back just nip them up so there tight,don't torgue them in or they will snap in ur block

Look in your haynes manual for the correct torque setting and torque them in.

when i put sparks in, i usually wait until the resistance kicks in, then a quarter turn on the socket.
