my missus has got et40 6*15" rims on her corsa b

How much can I lower it

40mm shouldn't be a prob. i think 60mm should be ok if you take out a couple of bolts from the rear arches.

Depends on tyre size also, smaller the better obviously!

6x15" Ian, in original post mate.

Yeay 40-50mm should be fine without any work, 60mm should be obtainable but you may need to do a little work on the rear arches.

If the tyres have a profile of 45mm then you can lower it up to 80mm without ANY arch work. I guarentee this...
